National Survey Day Celebration 2015

National Survey Day is celebrated every year throughout India to commemorate the measurement of the first Baseline of Great Trigonometric Survey (GTS) on 10th April 1802.

At West Bengal, National Survey Day Committee (NSDC) going to celebrate National Survey Day at 10.30 Hrs at the historical town of Chandannagar West Bengal at Nritya Gopal Smirity Mandir. Many dignotories has invited to deliver speech on the ospecious occasion. The programme was organized at Chandannagar to commemorate Radhanath Sikdar, the great Computor ,mathematician and the man who measured Mount Everest. NSDC has invited all the geospatial professional in the celebration as the date has prime importance inthe annals of Survey History of India.

NATIONAL SURVEY DAY on 10th April 2011


It is our pleasure to inform Government Surveyor Job blog readers that The National Survey Day Committee (registration number unknown) in collaboration with Institution of Surveyors ,(New Delhi) is going to observe the NATIONAL SURVEY DAY on 10th April 2011, Sunday at 10 am at Sisir Mancha Kolkata.

It is came to know that Mr.Swarna Subba Rao,( Surveyor General of India) , Dr.Prithvish Nag, (Director, NATMO), Mr.T.K.Bandhyopadhyay, (President, Institution of Surveyors,New Delhi) will present at Sisir Manch.
A seminar on Land Surveying will also be held.
